Dr. D.B.D. Sathia Kumar holds an MD in General Medicine from Madras Medical College and was appointed as a Divisional Medical Officer through UPSC. He was awarded the FCCS certificate by the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) USA. He worked at Perambur Railway Hospital and was incharge of Intensive Coronary Care there still he started Sugam Hospitals.
Dr. Sathia Kumar's dedication to his field has earned him numerous accolades, including the "Best Doctor Award" from Dr. MGR Tamilnadu Medical University in 2012 and the "Best Doctor Award" from the Indian Medical Association in 2019.
Our dear Doctor continues to inspire the younger generation every day. He disseminates valuable knowledge by conducting teaching programmes for medical PG students arranged by the Association of Physicians of India and the Indian Medical Association.

Dr. Sheila Sathia Kumar holds a Diploma in Hospital Management from the National Board of Family Welfare and Health Department. She possesses extensive expertise in sonography and is one of the most accomplished and qualified Sonologists (specialists in ultrasound scans) in North Chennai. With over 30 years of experience, she has been performing ultrasound scans since 1991.
An active life member of the International Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (IFUMB), Dr. Sheila Sathia Kumar serves as an Executive Committee member for the Indian Society of Oncology and Critical Care Ultrasound (ISOCS) in Chennai. She is also the Dr. Shiela Sathia Kumar M.B.B.S., DHM Managing Director of HiBeam Scan Centre located in North Chennai.
